Elle 18 Color Burst Lipsticks- Strawberry Falls and Berry Ice Review and Swatches!

Hey guys!

Today I am going to review two lipsticks from Elle 18 Color Burst range. I had got them last year from Urbantouch.com. I am not a lipstick person at all..but still wanted atleast two for special occasions.

Price:-  Rs. 100/-

Packaging:- The lipstick comes in a very cute black plastic packaging. It's not much sturdy but what that's okay for the price.
p.s.-You can see the packaging of Strawberry Falls looks dull whereas the other one looks new and shiny. You'll know the reason below.

What I think about them?-
I don't really like them that much. Although the Strawberry Falls one is good and better than Berry Ice.
The Berry Ice one is frosty finish with glitter! And let me tell you the glitter sticks on to your lips and I hate that! The other one is used up because my mom uses it sometimes. So I gave it to her and hence the Berry Ice looks so new.. :P

Pros:-
1. Inexpensive
2. Some colors are good
3. Doesn't dry your lips

Cons:-
1. Less pigmented
2. The glitter particles stick to your lips
3. Some might feel a little drying (this for you Berry Ice!)
4. Not long-lasting

Here are the Swatches of both:-

Will I re-purchase these?- NO!!

Black-Grey Smokey Eye Look Tutorial!

Hey guys!
So here is the tutorial of the Black-Grey Smokey Eye Look I did in the previous post. I haven't used any eyeshadow here. So what have I used?

Products used:-
1. Garnier tinted eye roll-on (as concealer and primer)
2. Lakme Rose powder  (to smudge the harsh edges of eyeshadow)
3. Colorbar Indian Eye Kohl (as a black base)
4. Miss Claire Cake eyeliner in Black (it's a powder eyeliner which I used as a shadow)
5. Miss Claire Eyeliner Pencil in Graphite (to add little shimmer and grey color)
6. Maybelline Colossal Kajal (to tightline and on waterline)
7. Just Candy Black Liquid Liner
8. Maybelline Hyper Curl Volum Express Mascara

1. First I started with a clean moisturized face. Then used my eye-roll on as a concealer and primer.

2. Then used Lakme Rose Powder on it.

3. Here, I applied the Colorbar Eye Kohl on my lid so that whatever we apply next will have a good base.

4. Using an eyeshadow brush smudged the eye kohl.

5. Now applied the Miss Claire Cake eyeliner over the kohl.
Then taking the Miss Claire Eyeliner Pencil in Graphite, I applied it in the inner corner of the eyes and also the inner half. So we get a little grey shimmer.
I again tapped some black shadow (cake eyeliner) to darken it and in the crease.
Smudge any harsh lines!
6. Then tightlined my eyes, used the cake eyeliner on outer half of my lower line and added Graphite over it.

7. Then added mascara, did a winged eyeliner, smudged any harsh lines and we are done! :)

Do tell me your thoughts about the tutorial and whether you'd like more. :)

Black-Grey Smokey Eye Look!

Hey there guys!

I am doing an eye look after months if I am not wrong. I was just bored sitting at home and to top it my mood wasn't good. So I decided to try an eye-look. Now, I don't have any eyeshadow pallete left or should I say haven't bought any in a while. Then I decided to try it with whatever I have and the first thought that came to my mind was of doing a smokey eye! I never really do dramatic looks so I was more excited to one!

And..I am also going to post a tutorial of this! :) My first (or is it second?) tutorial!!

(p.s.- kindly ignore my eyebrows, I need to get something that'll make them better.)

These two photos are my favourite! :D

What do you think about this look? I like how it turned out without using any eyeshadow or primer. :) Tutorial and products used coming up soon! :D

Lets get Organized- Jewelry Organization Ideas!

Hey guys! As mentioned in one of my previous posts about doing some home organization posts after getting inspired and all that..I thought I'll start with some ideas that I loved to store jewelry in a creative and cool way. And then I'll show you guys how I keep my tiny jewelry collection stuff as well (still working on it though).

Now as we all know, in India having a big or walk-in closet is quite a luxury! Why are houses/apartments in India not designed that way with closets? We can have a built-in closet atleast. I have that complaint..but I promise when I start designing I'll include closets in my designs for sure. Haha! We deserve built-in closets too! :D

So obviously I too don't have a closet, and guess what I don't even have a decent vanity table..sob.. Now my problem was I didn't want any display kinda storage since things get dusty here pretty fast, that means something to keep in the cupboard but in a cute yet functional way. Hence, here are some ideas I liked and also I'll link some DIY jewelry organizer posts that I liked. :)

How cute is that!! I think this is my favorite one! Those cupcake moulds (moulds??) look so cute! We can also use the ones which hold small candles, the simple metal ones with just plain wax inside. :)

This is cool too, for categorizing your stuff.
And we will not have any problem in finding a nice plate like the one above with beautiful traditional details in our homes! Right? :D
Using the box in which we bring eggs!
Plastic box with dividers.

And for those who'd like to display some of their jewelry..

Nivea MED Protection Lip Balm Review

Hey everyone!

So today I am back again with a lip balm review and this time it is Nivea's Med Protection lip balm. Check out my previous lip balm review here.

This is my first Nivea lip balm, I'd used one when I was in school but this is first Nivea lip balm to come in my collection. Below picture shows what all is written on the packaging it came in.

Price:- Rs.145/-

Packaging:- Comes in the trade-mark nivea packaging with the white twist-up thing and colorful lid. I got this particular one just looking at the pretty mint color! :D

What I think about it:-
I'd got this when I was going through a certain weird lip allergy, my lips were super dry and irritated. This although is not super moisturizing helped in healing my lips. It is light and smooth to apply, comes off clear (obviously). And I must say this lip balm I used continously for 2-3 weeks without using any other lip balm. I have finished half of the product and still use it..although not that often (I have many more to select from now)..

Pros:-
1. Nice packaging (me loves the bright color!)
2. Clear lip balm, nice alternative from daily tinted lip products
3. Light and smooth on lips
4. Gives a soothing feeling
5. Worth the price
6. Doesn't give any white or waxy layer

Cons:-
1. Might not work for people with super dry and chapped lips (but I think it will)..

Will I repurchase it?- Maybe. There are so MANY lip balms to try! :D

I have another clear Nivea lip balm which I love. Here are both of them together.. :)

Have you guys tried this product?

Lakme Rose Powder in Warm Pink Review!

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a nice weekend! :)

Today I am going to review a product which I use each and every single day without fail and that is my Lakme Rose Powder. It is basically a loose translucent powder which is fit for everyday use. You might have seen this is my 1st Urbantouch.com haul last year.

Price:- Rs.90/- (I got it for Rs.80/- online) for 40gm.

Shades:- Come in two shades- warm pink and rose pink

Packaging:-
It comes in a dark brown shiny plastic packaging. It is like a tub with lid as most of the loose powders are packed. The packaging is quite good for the price. It also comes with an applicator which is good and is quite soft. It packs LOT of product in there..it will last you for more than 2 years. I have been using this for a year now and you can see in one of the photos I have still half of the powder left.

What I think about it:-
It is a good translucent powder for everyday use since it is tinted, not like the white talcum powders. Hence doesn't make you look white. It has light coverage and a faint smell like other Lakme powders. I say this is worth it if you don't want to use your more costlier compacts or powders everyday.

Pros:-
1. Nice packaging
2. Good for everyday use
3. Light weight and gives a matte effect
4. Inexpensive
5. Good amount of product, will last longer
6. It also says it has sunscreen in it

Cons:-
1. It has only two shades. That might be a problem for dark skinned beauties

I don't find any other con in this..

Will I repurchase it?- Yes, definitely! First let me see how long it takes to finish this. ;)

New Maybelline Baby Lips!!

Hey guys!!

So as told I finally got the Maybelline Baby Lips. I'd gone to the Beauty Center at Crawford Market yesterday and I'd thought the Maybelline counter there will not have baby lips as I'd not seen them the day before. But when I asked for them, the SA pulled 3 of them out. I guess there are 6 or 7 of these baby lips.

The 3 that they had were Pink Lolita, Berry Kiss and Coral Crush. I'd planned to get one clear and one tinted one but they didn't have any clear ones. So..I got both the tinted ones! Will get the clear one next time! ;)

And as you guys might know they cost Rs.150/- but I got them for Rs.135/- (if you buy them at the Beauty Centers you get some discounts on each and every product you buy and from any brand! That's why I always love going there.)
So this is not a review of them, I have just got them and will review them after some days. I wanted to show to guys how cute they look and ALSO you get free cute keychains with each which also double up as a lip balm holder! Although these ones look so cute, I like the Baby Lips version of the UK/US one more cuter!

(Warning: I went a little over-board with the photos. I just can't stop thinking how cute they look. So LOTS of pictures ahead!)

Aren't those keychains super cute?!! :D

Outfit Inspiration- Jewel Toned Jeans!!

Hello guys!

So I am doing an Outfit Inspiration post after so many days!! And today I thought about doing it on Jewel toned jeans which are IN this fall/ winter! I seriously want to get one colored pant. I am not the bright hot-pink pant person, I'd like to get something which will not go out of fashion and I can wear it whenever I want to. And if you think like me then this post is for you! :)

I love how Wendy from Wendy's Lookbook styles her outfits! You'll love all of her outfits.
I want this caramel/ light brown colored one!! I WANT!

I LOVE how Rati di from IMBB and Faux Pas styled her Burgundy and Deep Blue pants! I'll link both her outfit posts below the pictures. :)

Colorbar Indian Eye Kohl/Kajal Review and Swatches!

Hey guys! Hope you liked my previous post on the little diy I did.

Today I am going to review an eye kohl or let us better call it our kajal by Colorbar. This was my first product from the brand Colorbar USA. I had got this from Urbantouch.com  last October and I have used it since then.

Price:- I'd got it for Rs.125/- (but I guess it is now for Rs.150/-)

What it claims:-
Colorbar Kajal is smooth to apply and gives the eyes a dramatic jet black color

What I think about this:-
First I'd like to talk about the super sexy packaging of this Kajal! I LOVE how cool it looks. I like it's packaging more than the Colossal Kajal's yellow packaging. Although this one need to be sharpened and the Colossal one comes with a twist-up packaging.I have used this for probably a year now (you can tell, it's size has reduced. It was as long as the box) and its really a good and jet-black kajal. It is a fat Kajal pencil like the NYX Jumbo Pencils.
It is really smooth to apply so no tugging near the eyes. It has a very slight smell of a typical Kajal which I don't think will be a problem for anyone.
The only thing I don't like about this is that it smudges on your waterline and doesn't last long. It smudges in 3-4 hours! I remember I always used to wipe the bottom of my waterline to see if it has smudged or not. Other than that it is a good pencil and I think we can make it work with applying a back eyeshadow on top of this to make it last longer (I'll try this and let you know). And it is definitely better than the Lakme Kajal (not referring to the Eyeconic one, the other Lakme Kajal).

when smudged after 1 minute of swatching :(

Pros:-
1. very black
2. smooth and creamy, hence easy application
3. packaging is good and sturdy
4. inexpensive
5. doesn't irritate the waterline

Cons:-
1. needs to be sharpened (not a problem for me)
2. smudges within 3-4 hours
3. not a good idea to use it as an eyeliner

Will I repurchase it?:- No, I love my Colossal Kajal which is way better than this and now want to try the Eyeconic one. :)
