Anherb Natural Milk and Honey Nourishing (Night) Cream Review!

Hey guys!
So today I am reviewing another product that I own from the brand Anherb Naturals. And if you read my blog, you’ll know I have already reviewed two other products from this brand and have explained about how I got it and where it is available and all that. I have their links in the end of this post. Definitely check that out too!

And I threw the packaging/box in which this thing came so I don’t have all those details about this. It comes in a tub form which might be a problem for some. But Anherb Natural Milk and Honey Nourishing Cream is a great night cream, it can be used otherwise but the SA at the counter showed it to us(me and my mom) and started convincing us to buy this and voila we were! That’s nothing new for us right?! She told it’s a perfect night cream. Read on to find how this one flared.

Price: It was something around 200INR or less..

What are my thoughts about this?
Okay..I am getting straight into this and telling you I LOVE this cream! It was initially for my mom, who doesn’t take care of herself when it comes to skincare..and then every night or morning I keep asking her whether she’d applied a moisturizer, blah..blah..blah.. And I didn’t start using this the time we got this, but I whenever I’d apply any face mask I’ll use this on my face after removing the mask. And I usually apply face masks at night after dinner, don’t know why but I guess I like to see the glow on my face the other morning. So while using this cream I realized it can be used as a great massage cream since it has very good consistency. It is really soft and spreads on skin like a dream. I started using this during the winters after washing my face every night.

And I have dry to normal skin, goes on the dry side during winters. And I am also using this during summer but use very tiny amount since I tend to sweat a lot and my face get shiny pretty fast although not oily. And I have never tried it in the morning as I know it’ll make my face shiny. :P
So even if you have oily skin you can use this during night. Even a very little amount works well and it soothes my skin.

Will I buy this again?: Yes for sure! It lasts a long way too!!! Available at the Beauty Center, Crawford Market.

Pretty Pink NOTW!

Hey guys, so I had these pictures in my laptop for maybe over two weeks now..and I thought to post it today! And NOTW as in Nails Of The Week, I thought of changing it from NOTD to that because I usually paint my nails once or twice a week and not more than that..just thought of explaining you know. ;)

I got this nail polish from the Beauty Center, Crawford Market and its from some brand called Personi..weird name I know! It was for 30INR and I liked the shade and I was sort of in the hunt for some pick nail polishes (and the hunt is still going on).
Its a dull muted pink color and I think will go with every skintone.

Sonakshi Sinha on the sets on DID-Little Masters2!

I am really liking Sonakshi Sinha these days for her fashion and makeup!
She'll be doing a special guest appearance on the dance show (my favourite!) Dance India Dance-Little Masters 2!! We'll see her in the coming episode, and I instantly like the way she was looking when they showed us what's there in the next episode!

Loved her light pink saree with white border and white blouse! Her makeup is so pretty her! I loved her outfit, its so simple yet uber chic and beautiful! And not to forget the sofr curls of her hair!!

All about Scrubs!

What is scrubbing i.e. Exfoliation?
Exfoliation involves the removal of the oldest dead skin cells on the skin's outermost surface, and has been used for many years to help maintain skin. Exfoliation is involved in the process of all facials, during microdermabrasion or chemical peels at medical spas. Exfoliation can be achieved through mechanical or chemical means.

History:
Credit is given to the ancient Egyptians for the practice of exfoliation. In the Middle Ages, wine was used as a chemical exfoliant, with tartaric acid as the active agent. In Asia, the practice of exfoliation started hundreds of years ago. The etymology of the word exfoliate comes from the Latin exfoliare (to strip off leaves).

What excessive scrubbing can do:
Excessive scrubbing and rubbing as well as exfoliating can damage the skin, so one should not do so on a daily basis unless using an extremely mild homemade scrub.
While scrubs are said to slough off dead and dry skin, we often overdo that. Some scrubs that have mineral oils, synthetics (abrasive beads made of plastic) or chemicals that can be harmful if you skin is sensitive. If the skin has a cut or bruise, then avoid using a salt body scrub as it will aggravate the condition and burn the skin.

Do it the right way-
But be careful when rubbing the body with a scrub product, especially natural ingredients mixed by yourself, because it actually makes the skin becomes wrinkled. There’s nothing wrong with the body scrubbing, however if you do that in the wrong way, it create the new problem to your skin. Wrong scrubbing is rubbing the skin with a up and down strong pressure onto the skin.
If we massage and scrub with correct technique to the body and face, it will maintain our skin elasticity. But if we do that in the wrong way, it makes the skin so easily loosened. The skin also be irritated too. So how to do the right scrubbing so we can get the benefit of it?
Move your hand turn from the ground up as a scrub, in a clockwise direction and leads to the heart. Movement will tighten the skin. Knowing how to properly scrubbing provides more effective results for the skin. The advantage to the body is dead skin cells will be lost, the skin become smoother and more toned and radiant.

Some easy homemade scrubs which work-
Scrubs made with natural ingredients such as sugar, salt, carrier oils, honey work, assuming you are not over doing it. Also choose natural oils such as sweet almond oil, Jojoba and Avocado oil. These natural ingredients are great for the skin.
Specialists believe one should choose their scrubs based on the type of skin, sensitivity of skin, frequency of use and process.
Whipped scrubs are also great as the particle sizes of the exfoliants are much smaller and are better for sensitive skin. Try a grated coconut pack mixed in coconut water or crushed almond and mint leaves; it will cleanse the skin well.

Natural scrubbers-

Sugar: It is considered gentle as it has smoother edges than salt. It can be great for sensitive skin.

Apricot kernels: Rich in vitamin A, which is vital for healthy skin, they are perfect for elbows, backs, heels and thicker skins. Nutshells and fruit kernels can have jagged edges so they aren't ideal for sensitive skin.

Honey: As a moisturizer, honey is an apt skin softener and can nourish the skin. It can be used in combination with oatmeal.

Oatmeal: A gentle grain, oatmeal moisturizes skin. It is able to reduce inflammation in sensitive skin.

My Make-Up Wishlist May 2012!!

Hello guys!
So here's a news..my classes got over..(pretty soon than expected!) and now I am super duper free AGAIN..the whole day..till the 3rd of June! So hopefully you'll be getting more posts frequently from me..

Today I thought of doing a Wishlist type post..because I don't get chance to buy makeup that much..since you know I am a student i.e. a jobless, unemployed person who has to ask for money from her parents for anything..and when it comes to makeup..its literally begging! Lol!!
My mom's not a makeup person at all! She is a working woman but the only makeup she uses is I think some powder and Lipstick (which is a must for her)..and nothing else! Foundation when it comes to attending some event like a wedding.. And hence she doesn't understand my crazyness for makeup..sad! And because of that I am left with only one option and that is to day-dream that these things will land in my hands!
And your wondering how I buy whatever I have showed you guys till now? Sometimes (read once in a blue moon..i.e. 3-4 months my mom might agree to get me that blush palette or that Colorbar Blush) she does buy me few things but most of the time I save money which I get from my cousins and relatives on festive occasions..

And I am sorry for such a long write up above..couldn't control it anymore, the words just came bursting out..!
So here's a wishlist I have made for a long time, may be since march and still haven't collected enough to buy all that. And it was my 20th Birthday last month and sad that I didn't get any gifts/gift money this time..so thought of getting something for myself to cheer up!

Another reason for the wishlist is that I am going on a family trip to Kashmir next month, I want to carry some cool items with me on the trip and I swear to God I am going to get 80% of the things listed below!! Haha!! :D :P :P
Okay now on to my wishlist..(no particular order followed):

1. Maybelline Clear Glow BB Cream (dying for this and getting this for sure! I am going to run directly to the Maybelline counter in Beauty Center)

2. Maybelline Clear Glow Compact (Love my Lakme Perfect Radiance compact but still want to try this..)

3. NYX Powder Blush (want atleast one badly! Eyeing the shade 'Moca')

4. Maybelline Moisture Extreme/ Colorsensational Lipstick (still don't have any Maybelline lipstick.)

5. Maybelline Colossal Kajal (I want a nice black which does not smudge..and this fits my budget)

6. Faces Eye Pencils (if anything remains after buying a NYX blush which is for INR520/-!!!)

7. Jordana Powder Blushes in Terracotta and Bronze (these two if the NYX one gets cancelled for some reason)

8. Jordana Eyeshadow Quads/Duo's or from any other brand (want some shadows, haven't got any since months..and  jordana because I am not a daily eye makeup person)

Not sure if these are available but just hoping..!!

9. Lip Balms (will get one of these for sure!)

10. Maybelline Colossal Mascara/ Hypercurl Volum' Express Mascara (want to try the colossal one, but only if budget allows otherwise I am going back to Hypercurl one since I am out of the previous one)

This one is already reviewed, here's the link-
